The CBSO and Canal and River Trust
You’re invited to join the CBSO and Canal and River Trust on a lantern walk as they light up the winter afternoon with live music and light art! Everyone will walk together along the canal, accompanied by a canal boat decorated by Crafting Community light artist Sophie Handy. Canal and River Trust's Heritage Canal Boat will process along the Canal from Roundhouse, Birmingham to Gas Street Basin, celebrating the Birmingham Light Festival by bringing light through the city. Musicians from CBSO Youth Projects will play from the Narrowboat. Head to Roundhouse Birmingham for the procession at 6pm - please bring your own light sources to walk alongside the boat.

The canal side is accessible to pushchairs and wheelchair users and has ramps. Some of the route is slightly steep.
WARNINGS
We expect the walk to take up to an hour from Roundhouse along the canal to Gas Street Basin and back. Please wrap up warm and wear appropriate footwear.
